Have you ever wondered?
I am passionate about supporting regional Western Australia. My ingredients are sourced directly from local producers wherever possible, including rich emu oil, premium wool, local honey, and even WA wine!
Every bar is a celebration of a different rural town!
Yes, absolutely. I only use pure essential oils to scent my products, and natural earth clays, botanicals, or native plants for colours.
You won’t find any synthetic fragrances, artificial colorants, parabens, or harsh chemicals here.
It sounds like country magic, but it’s actually science! I dissolve local regional WA sheep and alpaca wool directly into the lye water during the soap-making process.
The wool fibres break down completely, releasing natural keratin and lanolin into the soap. This creates an incredibly luxurious, silky lather that is deeply conditioning for the skin.
No. All of my handmade soaps are completely palm oil free, relying instead on high quality skin loving oils like olive oil, gm-free canola oil, tallow, and nourishing butters.
Yes! Because cold-process soap retains its natural glycerin (which draws moisture into the skin), it is much gentler than commercial soap.
Magnesium is fantastic for soothing tired muscles and restless legs (especially during pregnancy!).
While my ingredients are natural and clean, I always recommend checking with your healthcare professional before starting any new topical routine during pregnancy.
Because I run Rurale Soaps entirely by myself from my workshop in Kukerin, I hand pour and hand cut every batch in small quantities.
Traditional cold process soap must sit on my curing racks for 4 to 6 weeks to ensure a hard, long-lasting bar.
I do! If you run a shop and want to stock Rurale products, or if you want a custom soap loaf for a special event, please reach out to me directly at bonnie@ruralesoaps.com.au.
